In response to the continual oppression of the Israeli government, Hamas broke through the apartheid wall on 7th October 2023 and took several prisoners of war in order to start negotiations for the betterment of the Palestinian people in Gaza.
In a completely disproportionate response, the Netenyahu government (already at risk of being overthrown by its own people due to a myriad of issues including corruption), sees this as a chance to do some more land grabbing and distract their people from the war crimes he commits through more violence. The international community is silent and only speaks to parrot the Israeli narrative that they have every right to defend themselves (even though they are the coloniser, the occupier).
Israel blocks in the 2.2 million Palestinians and starts bombing them on the premise that Hamas is there. They cut off food, water and fuel and indiscriminately bomb homes, schools, hospitals, churches and mosques.
As the death toll climbs and the international media looks the other way, Gazans start to use social media such as Instagram and Tik Tok to show the world what is happening. They share photos and videos of the massacre of their people, burdening the task of having to document their own genocide as they grieve and bury their dead.
They start a movement online. Muslims, Jews, Christians alike all have their eyes opened to the atrocities being committed by Israeli and the vocal and complicit support of other world leaders who outright lie as they parrot Israel’s propaganda. The masses come together to protest through rallies all over the world even as world leaders try and silence freedom of speech and expression. Especially in France (where apparently freedom liberty and equality is only for macron and those he deems worthy) and Germany (where they obviously don’t care that they are repeating their mistakes of a century ago).
And today is day 18 of this genocide being shown to the world and they world staying silent as Israel does its worst, including openly admitting to mass murder, mocking Palestinians grieving their dead and lying about bombing hospitals.
